Sechseläuten – April 28, 2025 🇨🇭
Zurich came alive with tradition, colors, and spring vibes during Sechseläuten, a centuries-old festival where locals officially say goodbye to winter.
The highlight:
A giant snowman figure called the Böögg is burned — the faster its head explodes, the better the summer is believed to be!
Before the bonfire, guilds parade through the city in historical costumes, with flower-filled carriages, horses, and music — and the whole city joins in to celebrate.
It was such a joy to capture this year’s energy and warmth through my lens.
