A Love Worth Waiting For

P reached out to me with a simple but powerful message:

“I’m flying to Zurich to propose to my girlfriend of six years. She’s coming from the U.S., and she has no idea what’s waiting for her. I haven’t seen her in a year, and I want this moment to be unforgettable.”


From the very first message, I could feel how much love and emotion was behind this plan.


Every time I’m asked to photograph a proposal, I feel deeply honored — but this one touched me in a special way. A long-distance love, months of waiting, and finally, the moment they would be reunited. I could feel his nervous excitement as we carefully planned every detail, hoping to make everything perfect for the day he would ask the most important question of his life.


When the moment finally came, time seemed to slow down.

The way he looked at her.

The surprise in her eyes.

The tears, the laughter, the quiet “yes.”


I found myself holding back tears as I watched their story unfold in front of me. It was one of those moments that reminds you why love is worth the wait — and why these memories deserve to be captured forever.


Being there to witness and preserve such a meaningful chapter of their journey was truly an honor.
